LNSM scientists cooperated with coworkers from Utrecht to develop a new method for visualization of electric fields induced by single molecules with atomic spatial resolution. The work, which was published in highly prestigious Nature Communications [1], extends the imaging capabilities of single molecules on solid surfaces using atomic force microscopy (AFM) and scanning tunneling microscopy (STM).
